Join us in Venice, as we explore the romantic city during the days of the Carnival, a festival of colors, perfumes, and music that has no equal in the world.
Venice is a wonder every day of the year, but during the Carnival it also becomes a stage upon which hundreds of performers turn their fantasies into reality. Imagine, if you will, being transported to an enchanted land, inhabited by charming and mysterious characters who move with grace and elegance.
The Carnival of Venice is an event that attracts thousands of photographers from all over the world, each one of them hoping to photograph the beautiful and rich costumes that people wear during those days. Expectations are high, but without in-depth knowledge and the right resources, photographing the Carnival can be a frustrating experience, as everyone has to fight for their spot and their time with the models. Popular locations can be very crowded and it is almost impossible to get a good shot, with the best light and a nice background.
In February 2018 we will be back in Venice for the Carnival and this time not just for one workshop, but for two!
Each workshop will run for 5 or 6 days and they will be held back-to-back between February 5 and February 14, 2018. Exact dates will be communicated soon. It will of course be possible to attend both workshops.
While we haven’t yet determined the exact dates and prices, we want to give you the opportunity to reserve a seat right now and, by doing so, beat everyone else.
Not only that, but by booking now with a small and fully refundable initial deposit, you will enjoy a discount of €400 off the price of each workshop, for a total of €800 in case you decide to attend both!
This pre-registration deposit allows you to reserve 1 (one) seat on one of our upcoming Venice Carnival 2018 workshops. By pre-registering, you will secure your place in line for our workshop. Once we finalize dates and prices of the workshops, you will have a few days to confirm your participation by paying a final, non refundable deposit. If after the final dates and pricing are posted you decide not to join us, this deposit will be refunded. Otherwise its amount will be applied towards the total due for the workshop.
THIS OFFER IS ONLY VALID UNTIL MAY 21st. ACT FAST BEFORE IT’S GONE!
Seats on our tours will be allocated strictly on a first-come, first-served basis and we take a maximum of 12 participants on each tour. If you are not one of the first 12, you will be automatically placed on the waiting list. If any of the first 12 registrants decide not to join the workshop, those in the waiting list will be given the option to join, in the order they registered. Pre-registering only guarantees a seat at the workshop to the first 12 registrants.
People who do not pre-register will be able to join later only if fewer than 12 people confirm their pre-registration and at the full price.
If this sounds confusing to you, here’s how it works, in a nutshell:
What we offer with this workshop is an experience that is completely different from the rushed and confusing one you would get by going to the Carnival on your own. Thanks to the many Carnivals we have spent in Venice, we have developed personal and intimate relationships with the best models, those who wear the richest costumes and who are accustomed to posing for the best photographers. This means having their undivided attention, dedicated to you and your small group for all the time necessary.
In the past, we have also scouted some exclusive locations, like hotels, palaces, and theaters, where you will be able to photograph the models in beautiful settings, amidst ancient furniture and tapestry, without having to share the rooms with many other photographers.
